KEY PROPERTIES
Used as a coating for ferrous metals, black oxide coats the products in iron oxide. The benefits of this include reduced light reflection, adds minimal thickness to the steel and helps maintain the sharpness of things like drills or screwdrivers. Due to the oil the material becomes more water resistant and helps reduce corrosion and friction.
